Privacy and what this covers
This combined notice applies to riceclicker.com, the Rice Clicker browser game, beta or test versions that link here, and Rice Clicker subdomains or future versions that expressly adopt it.
It covers ordinary website use, local play and, where enabled, profiles, recovery, cloud saving, leaderboards, public statistics, moderation, security and support. Third-party websites, app stores and platforms have their own terms and privacy notices.
Back to topInformation used now
Website and connection information
When the website or online game is requested, hosting, network and security providers may process an IP address, request time, requested page or endpoint, browser and operating-system information, approximate region derived from network information, and limited security, rate-limit or error records. This is used to deliver and protect the service, not for behavioural advertising.
Information stored on your device
The game may use browser storage, local files and caches for game progress, settings, accessibility choices, tutorial progress, offline-earnings timestamps, save versions and integrity information. This information normally stays on your device unless you choose an online feature that sends relevant information to the service.
Support
If you contact us, we receive the contact details and information you choose to send. Do not send a recovery code, session token or unnecessary personal information.
Back to topInformation we do not ask for
Ordinary gameplay does not intentionally ask for your real name, email address, password, date of birth, home address, phone number, precise location, government identifier, payment-card information, advertising identifier or sensitive personal data.
We do not currently use personalised advertising, cross-site behavioural tracking, device fingerprinting for advertising, third-party session replay or ordinary third-party behavioural analytics. If this changes, this page and any required consent controls will be updated before the new use begins.
Back to topCookies and local storage
Rice Clicker may use localStorage, IndexedDB, cache storage, service-worker storage, local game files, secure session technologies and similar storage or access methods.
- Local saves: preserve progress, unlocks, settings and offline-earnings timestamps until overwritten, reset or cleared.
- Preferences: remember sound, reduced-motion, contrast, display and accessibility choices.
- Authentication and security: where online profiles are enabled, keep a session working, prevent replay or abuse and protect cloud saves.
- Delivery and caching: load game files reliably and efficiently.
- Cloudflare security: may use essential security or delivery technologies to protect and serve the site.
These technologies are intended to be limited to what is necessary for requested functions and security. If optional analytics, advertising or tracking is introduced, it will not be enabled without the notice and consent required by law.
You can clear browser storage through browser settings, but doing so may permanently remove local progress. Blocking essential storage may prevent saves, profiles or other requested features from working.
Back to topProfiles and online features
Where an online feature is enabled, only the information needed to provide and protect it is intended to be processed.
- Profiles: public username, normalised uniqueness value, random public profile ID, timestamps and moderation state.
- Recovery: protected session-token and recovery-code digests, creation, expiry, use and revocation records. Readable recovery codes should not be stored by the service.
- Cloud saves: game-save payload, revision, slot, checksum, format version, conflict and integrity information, and current and previous verified copies.
- Gameplay statistics: lifetime rice, total clicks, grains landed, Prestige count, challenge progress and other game progress needed for profiles, saves and rankings.
- Leaderboards: public display name, public profile ID, selected statistics, accepted contributions and limited anti-abuse records.
- Global Grains Landed: accepted contributions may be added to an anonymous combined total that is no longer linked to a profile.
- Moderation, security and operations: moderation decisions, rate-limit events, request results, error records and other limited operational logs needed to keep the service safe and reliable.
Usernames are public. Public profile IDs and selected leaderboard statistics may also be visible to anyone. Do not put your real name or other personal information in a username.
Back to topWhy information is used and shared
Information is used to provide features you request, save or recover progress, authenticate sessions, publish optional rankings, secure the service, prevent cheating and abuse, moderate public identities, diagnose faults, respond to support and comply with law.
Depending on the feature and circumstances, the lawful basis may be performance of a contract, legitimate interests in operating a safe and reliable service, compliance with legal obligations, or consent where an optional use requires it.
Service information may be processed by Cloudflare and ordinary network or infrastructure providers. It may also be disclosed to professional advisers, courts, regulators or authorities where reasonably necessary or legally required, or to a genuine successor if the service is transferred. Public profile information is shared publicly by design. Personal data is not sold.
Cloud infrastructure may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where required, appropriate contractual or legal transfer safeguards will be used.
Back to topRetention and security
Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the feature, security, legal or dispute purpose. Active profile and cloud-save information is kept while the profile is active; sessions and recovery digests end on expiry, revocation, rotation or deletion; current and one previous verified cloud save may be retained; ordinary rate-limit records last minutes or hours; support correspondence and ordinary security records are intended to have bounded retention.
A minimal protected record of a permanently retired normalised username may remain to prevent reassignment. Anonymous aggregate totals may remain because they no longer identify a player.
Proportionate safeguards may include HTTPS, access controls, protected one-way credential digests, session revocation, rate limiting, request validation, save checksums and revisions, replay protection, restricted administration and log filtering. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Back to topYour rights and deletion
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to information, access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, withdrawal of consent and complaint to a supervisory authority. Rights are not absolute and identity may need to be verified without asking for a recovery code.
Your right to object: you may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Use the privacy contact shown in the operator details at the bottom of this page and explain the processing you object to.
Where authenticated profile deletion is available, it is intended to remove active credentials, current and previous cloud saves, player-linked statistics and public visibility. The normalised username may remain permanently retired, and anonymous contributions already added to a global total may remain.
You may complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office or another competent authority. We ask that you contact us first so we can try to resolve the issue.
Back to topChildren and younger players
Rice Clicker may appeal to younger players. The service therefore aims to minimise information, avoid behavioural advertising, use privacy-protective defaults and limit public identity to a chosen display name and random profile identifier.
If you are under 18, ask a parent or guardian to help if you do not understand this page. If you are under 13, a parent or guardian should supervise use of online profile, leaderboard, support, claim or cloud features.
Back to topTerms of Use
By accessing or playing Rice Clicker, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. If you are not legally able to accept these Terms, a parent or guardian must review and accept them for you.
Rice Clicker currently provides a free browser game and related website, local saves and, where enabled, player profiles, recovery, cloud saves, leaderboards, public counters, moderation, support and test services. Some features may change or be temporarily unavailable.
Back to topLicence and ownership
You receive a personal, limited, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to play Rice Clicker for private entertainment, subject to these Terms.
Rice Clicker software, original art, names, design and presentation remain owned by or licensed to the operator. Third-party material remains owned by its rightsholders and is used under the licences recorded in Credits. You may not copy, sell, redistribute, reverse engineer or commercially exploit the game except where law expressly allows it.
Back to topProfiles, names and recovery
Where profiles are available, display names are first come, first served and may be permanent. Do not impersonate others, disclose private information, infringe rights or use abusive, hateful, threatening, sexually explicit or unlawful content.
You are responsible for keeping session and recovery information private. Recovery codes must remain private. A recovery code may be the only way to restore a profile. Flawless Gaming Studios cannot retrieve a lost plaintext recovery code. Successful recovery can revoke old sessions and rotate the old code. Never send a recovery code or session token to Support.
Usernames may not be sold or transferred without express permission.
Back to topLocal and cloud saves
Local saves depend on your browser, device and storage settings. Clearing data, private-browsing limits, device loss or software changes may remove local progress.
Where cloud saving is enabled, it provides a protected copy rather than a complete historical archive. Uploads may be periodic or event-driven, recent local progress may not yet be uploaded, current and one previous verified copy may be kept, and conflicts may require you to choose a version. No save or restoration can be guaranteed in every circumstance.
Back to topFair play and acceptable use
Do not use bots, unauthorised automation, modified clients, replayed requests, exploits or other methods to falsify statistics, gain an unfair ranking, bypass moderation, compromise accounts, distribute malware, scrape protected endpoints or overload the service.
Leaderboard and global-counter contributions may be delayed, batched, rejected, quarantined or corrected to protect service integrity. Loading a save does not replay past global contributions.
Back to topVirtual items and payments
Rice, Golden Grains, Steam Tokens, boosts, cosmetics, achievements, badges and other game items exist only inside the game. They are not legal currency, have no real-world cash value, do not grant ownership of the software and are not transferable unless a feature expressly says otherwise.
Rice Clicker is free to play. No real-money purchases are offered. Mock or test purchase controls do not process real payments. No card or payment details are collected. If real-money purchases are introduced later, purchase terms, prices, refunds and required consumer information will be provided before purchase.
Future promotions will have separate rules and privacy information before any entry information is collected.
Back to topService availability
Separate beta and test versions may contain unfinished features, defects, resets, temporary data, changed balance and interruptions. Do not rely on beta data as the only copy of anything important.
The service may be updated, paused, restricted or withdrawn for maintenance, security, capacity, legal or operational reasons. We do not promise uninterrupted availability or permanent compatibility with every browser or device. Cloudflare, browsers, operating systems, networks and linked services are third parties governed by their own terms.
Feedback may be used to improve the game without payment or attribution, but you keep ownership of any intellectual property you already own.
Back to topModeration and deletion
Public names, profiles and statistics may be refused, hidden, renamed, suspended, corrected or removed where reasonably necessary for safety, legality, fair play or service integrity. Access may be restricted or terminated for serious or repeated breaches, security risk or legal necessity.
Authenticated profile deletion is irreversible. Active credentials, cloud saves and player-linked public information are intended to be removed, while the exact normalised username may remain permanently retired and accepted anonymous aggregate contributions may remain.
Back to topConsumer rights and liability
Rice Clicker is provided with the level of care and skill required by applicable law. Nothing on this page excludes rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
We do not promise that every feature will meet every preference, that service will be uninterrupted, that every third-party system will work, or that every local or cloud save can be recovered. For consumers, responsibility remains for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of a breach or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
We are not responsible for business losses where a consumer service is used commercially. No broad consumer indemnity is imposed; users remain responsible under ordinary law for deliberate fraud, malicious attacks or infringement.
Back to topLaw, changes and contact
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. Consumers living elsewhere retain mandatory protections provided by the law of their country of residence and may have the right to bring proceedings where they live.
If one part of these Terms is unenforceable, the remaining parts continue. A delay in enforcing a right does not waive it. Rights under these Terms may not be transferred by a user without agreement; they may be transferred with a genuine business transfer without reducing consumer protection.
This combined notice and Terms may be updated when the service, legal requirements or operator status changes. Material changes will receive a new version and effective date.
